Chimney sources allow for the evaporation of optical compounds thermally, without the worry of pinholes caused by the material spitting, or streaming. Curved baffles eliminate such catastrophes by blocking particle ejection. In addition, they are designed to be loaded and re-loaded while they are in the chamber by simply removing the fill lids. |
